ScaleMySet uses information to run an account-based paid STL service: sign-in, billing, protected downloads, generated packs, saved projects, filament tools, community features, support, security, and catalog improvement. ScaleMySet does not sell personal information for money or knowingly share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Privacy Statement
How ScaleMySet handles your information.
Last updated June 20, 2026. This statement covers account, billing, project, download, filament, community, support, security, and device information.
1. Overview
This Privacy Statement explains how ScaleMySet collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use ScaleMySet websites, accounts, paid access, STL downloads, generated ZIP packs, custom build tools, set or kit tools, filament tools, saved projects, print checklists, community features, messages, component reports, support tools, and related services.
ScaleMySet is built for building-block-compatible 3D printing workflows. That means some information you provide may be practical project data rather than traditional profile data: part lists, colors, quantities, scale choices, saved project names, checklist progress, filament preferences, catalog issue reports, and community posts. We treat that information as account and service data when it can reasonably identify you or your account.
This Privacy Statement applies to information handled by ScaleMySet. It does not apply to websites, payment pages, community services, hosting providers, analytics tools, browser extensions, slicers, printers, filament vendors, or other third-party products that ScaleMySet does not control. Those third parties may provide their own privacy notices.
2. Quick summary
We collect the information needed to run a paid account-based STL service: account details, plan status, checkout and billing events, project and download history, saved print settings, community activity, support requests, and basic device or security logs.
We use that information to authenticate you, provide paid access, generate and deliver files, save your projects, run checklists, operate community and support features, process subscriptions, keep the service secure, improve catalog quality, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If ScaleMySet ever changes that position, this Privacy Statement will be updated and any required opt-out controls will be provided.
You should avoid putting sensitive personal information in project names, custom pack names, public posts, support reports, messages, filament notes, or uploaded/submitted content. ScaleMySet is not designed to store health data, government IDs, financial account numbers, precise location data, children's data, or other highly sensitive personal information.
3. Personal information we collect
Account and identity information. This may include your name, display name, email address, login credentials or authentication identifiers, account ID, session identifiers, profile details, avatar or image URL if you provide one, account creation date, role, admin status, plan status, and account preferences.
Billing and transaction information. This may include plan selected, subscription status, customer ID, checkout ID, invoice ID, transaction ID, renewal status, cancellation status, tax region or tax-related information provided by the payment provider, refund status, payment-provider events, and limited card or payment metadata such as brand or last four digits when provided by the payment processor. ScaleMySet does not need to store full card numbers to operate the service.
Project, pack, and print workflow information. This may include saved project names, set or kit references, custom part lists, selected parts, colors, quantities, scale percentages, generated ZIP history, download activity, part metadata requests, STL request history, estimated filament usage, previews, checklist progress, report status, and project notes you choose to enter.
Filament and color information. This may include filament names, material type, brand or vendor notes, color names, hex values, matching preferences, swatch choices, custom material labels, and other saved filament library settings.
Community and profile information. This may include display name, username, avatar, profile details, public posts, replies, likes, bookmarks, reports, moderation status, support tickets, message metadata, author attribution, reputation or activity indicators, and other information you submit through community features.
Support and communications information. This may include emails, support tickets, component reports, bug reports, missing-part reports, feedback, messages to ScaleMySet, attachments or screenshots you provide, and records of our responses.
Device, usage, and log information. This may include IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, referring page, pages viewed, button or feature interactions, timestamps, session cookies, security logs, error logs, diagnostics, approximate region inferred from network information, and service performance information.
Generated or derived information. ScaleMySet may derive information from your activity, such as whether a pack has been downloaded, whether a checklist is incomplete, whether a file request failed, whether a subscription is active, whether a report is unread, whether a support issue appears resolved, or whether a catalog record may need review.
4. Sources of personal information
We collect information directly from you when you create an account, subscribe, generate a pack, download an STL, save a project, edit filament preferences, submit a report, post in the community, send a message, or contact support.
We collect information automatically from your browser or device when you use the service, including session, diagnostic, security, and usage information.
We receive information from service providers that help us operate ScaleMySet, such as authentication, hosting, database, payment, email, support, community, and security providers.
We may receive information from Stripe or another payment provider when you check out, renew, cancel, update a payment method, request a refund, or when a payment-provider webhook updates your account status.
We may receive information from a self-hosted or third-party community system, such as Discourse, when ScaleMySet reads, displays, or posts community content through configured server-side routes.
5. How we use personal information
To provide the service. We use information to create and maintain accounts, authenticate users, authorize paid access, generate set packs and custom packs, serve protected STL downloads, save project state, track checklist progress, match filament colors, display account tools, and operate support and community features.
To process billing. We use information to start checkout, recognize paid access, update subscription status, process cancellations or refunds, maintain invoice and tax records, prevent payment abuse, and reconcile payment-provider events with your account.
To personalize your workspace. We use information to remember saved projects, selected scale values, color choices, filament library entries, previous downloads, checklist progress, account preferences, community profile details, and messages or reports relevant to your account.
To operate community and support features. We use information to display posts and replies, attribute community activity, route support tickets, manage reports, moderate content, respond to issue reports, notify admins or users of unread reports, and maintain community safety.
To improve ScaleMySet. We use information to debug errors, identify missing or broken catalog records, improve part titles, improve color matching, understand which workflows are confusing, prioritize support fixes, and make the service more reliable.
To secure the service. We use information to detect suspicious logins, prevent unauthorized downloads, investigate scraping or abuse, enforce access controls, block spam or malware, protect payment flows, and respond to security incidents.
To communicate with you. We use information to send account notices, billing notices, service updates, support replies, privacy or terms updates, security messages, and optional product communications where allowed.
To comply with law and enforce rights. We use information to comply with legal obligations, tax and accounting obligations, rights-owner requests, court orders, valid legal process, audit needs, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and enforcement of ScaleMySet terms.
6. Legal bases where required
Where a legal basis is required, ScaleMySet relies on different bases depending on the activity. We may process information to perform a contract with you, such as creating your account, providing paid access, generating downloads, saving projects, and providing support.
We may process information based on legitimate interests, such as securing the service, preventing abuse, improving reliability, debugging errors, moderating community features, responding to reports, and understanding how users interact with ScaleMySet.
We may process information to comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, consumer protection, payment, dispute, law-enforcement, and rights-enforcement obligations.
We may process information with your consent where consent is required, such as optional marketing communications or optional features that request information not needed for core service operation. You may withdraw consent where applicable, but withdrawal will not affect processing that already occurred.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
ScaleMySet uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for login sessions, authentication, fraud prevention, security, account preferences, checkout flow continuity, and service operation. Some of these technologies are necessary for the service to work.
ScaleMySet may use basic analytics or diagnostic tooling to understand page performance, errors, and feature usage. If analytics tools are enabled, they should be configured to support product improvement rather than selling or sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Payment, checkout, authentication, hosting, or community providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies when you interact with their features. Their use of those technologies is governed by their own policies.
Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, account tools, downloads, saved projects, or community features from working correctly.
8. Payments and Stripe
ScaleMySet may use Stripe or another payment provider to support checkout, subscriptions, taxes, invoices, fraud checks, payment method updates, cancellations, refunds, and billing communications.
When Stripe is used, Stripe may act as payment processor, tax handler, fraud-prevention provider, and billing infrastructure provider for the transaction. Stripe may collect and process payment and checkout information under its own legal terms and privacy notice.
ScaleMySet receives the information needed to connect a payment or subscription to your account, such as customer identifiers, transaction identifiers, plan status, invoice status, renewal status, cancellation status, and payment-provider event data. ScaleMySet does not need your full payment card number to operate the service.
If you contact ScaleMySet about billing, we may use payment-provider records and account records to help locate the transaction, verify access, troubleshoot checkout issues, process support requests, and coordinate with the payment provider.
9. Community, messages, and public content
Community features are not private storage. If you post a thread, reply, profile detail, build note, image, username, display name, or other community content, that information may be visible to other users, moderators, admins, or the public depending on how the community is configured.
ScaleMySet may use Discourse or another community system as the community system of record. When community integrations are enabled, ScaleMySet may send profile, thread, reply, category, tag, bookmark, report, moderation, notification, or support-ticket information between ScaleMySet and that community system.
Messages, support tickets, and reports may be visible to ScaleMySet admins, moderators, or support personnel. Reports may include the reported content, target user or post, reason, timestamps, reporter information, and moderation notes.
Do not post private information, confidential project details, trade secrets, sensitive personal information, payment information, home addresses, children's information, or content you do not have permission to share.
If you delete or edit community content, copies may remain in backups, logs, moderation records, quoted replies, notification records, archives, or third-party community infrastructure for a limited time or where retention is needed for safety, legal, or integrity reasons.
10. Project, STL, and print workflow data
ScaleMySet may store project and print workflow data so you can return to saved projects, switch between projects, regenerate packs, inspect previous downloads, track checklist progress, match filament colors, and troubleshoot reports.
Project names, custom pack names, part lists, scale choices, color selections, quantities, and notes may reveal information about your interests, purchases, collections, print habits, or business plans. Use neutral names if you do not want that context stored in your account.
STL downloads and generated ZIP activity may be logged to enforce paid access, diagnose failed downloads, prevent abuse, confirm subscription features, support commercial-use plan boundaries, and help improve catalog quality.
ScaleMySet may use aggregated or de-identified project and catalog usage information to understand which parts, colors, scales, tools, and workflows need improvement. Aggregated or de-identified information is not intended to identify you.
11. How we disclose personal information
Service providers. We disclose information to vendors that help operate ScaleMySet, including hosting, storage, database, authentication, payment, billing, email, logging, analytics, support, security, and community infrastructure providers.
Payment providers. We disclose information to Stripe or another payment provider as needed for checkout, billing, subscription management, fraud prevention, tax compliance, refunds, chargebacks, and customer support.
Community users and the public. We disclose public or community-submitted information according to the feature you use, such as posts, replies, display names, usernames, build notes, likes, tags, and profile information.
Admins, moderators, and support personnel. We disclose information internally or to authorized contractors who need it to provide support, moderate content, review reports, handle billing questions, debug issues, and secure the service.
Legal, safety, and rights reasons. We may disclose information when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, tax or accounting rules, rights-owner requests, security obligations, fraud investigations, user-safety concerns, or enforcement of ScaleMySet terms.
Business transfers. If ScaleMySet is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale, or transfer of assets, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction.
With your direction or consent. We may disclose information when you ask us to do so, connect a third-party service, submit public content, or otherwise consent to a disclosure.
12. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
ScaleMySet does not sell personal information for money.
ScaleMySet does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising as those terms are commonly used in U.S. state privacy laws.
ScaleMySet does not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16.
If ScaleMySet later enables advertising, retargeting, data-sharing, or analytics practices that qualify as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, ScaleMySet will update this Privacy Statement and provide any required opt-out mechanisms.
Because ScaleMySet does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, the service does not currently respond to Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing. If that changes, ScaleMySet will update this statement and implement required signal handling.
13. Sensitive personal information
ScaleMySet is not designed to collect sensitive personal information such as social security numbers, government identification numbers, precise geolocation, health information, biometric information, genetic information, financial account credentials, union membership, religious beliefs, or private information about children.
Please do not put sensitive personal information in project names, saved packs, custom part lists, reports, messages, community posts, filament notes, support tickets, or uploaded attachments.
If ScaleMySet receives sensitive personal information unintentionally, it may delete, restrict, or retain that information only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, protect security, comply with law, or resolve the issue that caused the information to be submitted.
ScaleMySet does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
14. Data retention
ScaleMySet keeps personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, provide paid access, support saved projects, preserve community integrity, process billing, maintain security, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce terms, and improve reliability.
Account records are generally kept while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward to support account recovery, legal compliance, billing records, audit needs, and dispute resolution.
Billing, subscription, invoice, tax, refund, and payment-provider event records may be kept as long as needed for accounting, tax, chargeback, legal, and fraud-prevention purposes.
Project records, saved packs, checklist progress, filament preferences, and download history may be kept while your account remains active or until you delete them, request deletion, or ScaleMySet no longer needs them for service operation, support, or abuse prevention.
Community posts, replies, reports, moderation records, and support tickets may be kept to preserve conversation history, investigate abuse, maintain safety, document moderation decisions, and improve support quality.
Security logs, diagnostic logs, and error records are generally kept for a limited period, unless longer retention is needed to investigate abuse, protect the service, comply with law, or resolve a dispute.
Backups may retain information for a limited time after deletion from active systems. ScaleMySet will delete or overwrite backup data according to normal backup rotation unless retention is required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
15. Your privacy choices
Account updates. You can update certain account, profile, project, filament, and community information through the service where those tools are available.
Billing controls. You can manage cancellation, invoices, and payment methods through account billing tools when available, through the payment provider, or by contacting support.
Project controls. You can rename, delete, or change certain saved projects and checklist information where the app provides those controls. Some related logs or generated history may remain for security, billing, support, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Community controls. You may edit or delete some community content where the community system allows it. Moderation records, reports, backups, quoted content, or admin logs may remain.
Marketing choices. You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails by using unsubscribe links where provided. You may still receive account, billing, legal, security, support, and service messages.
Cookie choices. You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies, but blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, downloads, saved projects, community features, or account tools from working.
16. Privacy rights requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of personal information, portability of personal information, restriction or limitation of certain uses, objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent, and information about categories of collection and disclosure.
California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights, subject to legal limits and exceptions.
To submit a privacy request, email support@scalemyset.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and describe the right you want to exercise. If you have an account, ScaleMySet may ask you to submit the request from the account email or through an account-authenticated flow when available.
ScaleMySet may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Verification may require matching information you provide with account records or asking for additional information used only to verify the request.
ScaleMySet may deny or limit a request where allowed by law, such as when it cannot verify the request, when the request is excessive or unfounded, when retention is needed to complete a transaction or provide the service, when retention is needed for security or fraud prevention, when retention is legally required, or when disclosure would affect another person's rights.
If you use an authorized agent to submit a request, ScaleMySet may require proof of authorization and may still ask you to verify your identity directly where allowed by law.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a denied privacy request, you may appeal by replying to ScaleMySet's decision email with the subject line "Privacy Appeal."
17. Non-discrimination
ScaleMySet will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. For example, ScaleMySet will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you made a valid privacy request.
Some information is necessary to provide the service. If you ask ScaleMySet to delete or stop processing information that is required for account access, billing, downloads, saved projects, security, or community operation, some features may no longer work or your account may need to be closed.
18. Security
ScaleMySet uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These safeguards may include access controls, authentication controls, server-side API routes for sensitive operations, logging, provider security controls, limited admin access, and security review of suspicious activity.
No online service can guarantee perfect security. Internet transmission, hosting providers, browsers, passwords, user devices, and third-party integrations all involve risk.
You are responsible for using a secure password, protecting your email account, signing out of shared devices, keeping your browser and device updated, and promptly contacting ScaleMySet if you believe your account has been compromised.
If ScaleMySet discovers a security incident affecting personal information, ScaleMySet will take steps appropriate to the nature of the incident, which may include investigation, containment, remediation, provider coordination, and notices required by law.
19. Children's privacy
ScaleMySet is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create accounts or submit personal information. ScaleMySet does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to ScaleMySet, contact ScaleMySet at the email below so the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
Printed objects and downloadable STL files may be used in environments where children are present, but ScaleMySet account tools and community features are intended for adults or users old enough to manage an online paid service under applicable law.
20. International users and transfers
ScaleMySet is operated from the United States. If you use ScaleMySet from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where ScaleMySet or its service providers operate.
Those countries may have privacy and data-protection rules that differ from the rules in your location. Where required, ScaleMySet will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another region with specific privacy rights, you may contact ScaleMySet to exercise rights available under applicable law.
21. De-identified and aggregated information
ScaleMySet may create aggregated or de-identified information from service activity, such as counts of downloads, popular scale settings, common catalog errors, average checklist completion, common filament colors, or general community trends.
ScaleMySet may use aggregated or de-identified information for product improvement, catalog planning, pricing analysis, support planning, security, reporting, or business operations. ScaleMySet will not try to re-identify de-identified information except where needed to test whether de-identification is effective or where permitted by law.
22. Automated decision-making
ScaleMySet may use automated checks to help authorize access, detect suspicious downloads, recognize active subscriptions, route reports, prevent spam, identify errors, or flag possible abuse.
ScaleMySet does not currently use automated decision-making to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about users without human review.
23. Changes to this Privacy Statement
ScaleMySet may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new effective date.
If a change materially affects how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, retained, or protected, ScaleMySet will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the website, account area, email, checkout flow, or another appropriate channel.
Your continued use of ScaleMySet after an update means the updated Privacy Statement applies to your use of the service going forward.
24. Controller, business, and service-provider roles
Depending on the law that applies, ScaleMySet may act as a controller, business, service provider, processor, vendor, or similar role for different data-processing activities.
For account, billing-access, protected download, saved project, community, support, and security operations, ScaleMySet generally determines the purposes and means of processing information it controls.
For payment processing, tax handling, checkout, fraud screening, community infrastructure, hosting, email delivery, analytics, logging, and security tooling, third-party providers may act under their own roles or under instructions from ScaleMySet depending on the service and applicable law.
If a business, school, organization, print farm, or other group gives you access to ScaleMySet, that organization may separately control or receive information about your use of the service. Its own privacy notices may also apply.
25. Notice at collection
ScaleMySet may collect the categories of personal information described in this statement at or before the time you create an account, subscribe, check out, save a project, generate a pack, download a file, post in the community, submit a report, contact support, or otherwise use the service.
The main purposes for collection are account creation, authentication, paid access, billing, subscription management, protected downloads, generated packs, saved projects, filament tools, community features, support, security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, service improvement, catalog quality, and communications.
ScaleMySet does not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. ScaleMySet asks that you not submit sensitive personal information unless it is strictly necessary for a support or legal request.
ScaleMySet does not knowingly sell personal information and does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
26. Categories collected and disclosed
Identifiers may include name, email address, account ID, customer ID, session ID, IP address, username, display name, avatar URL, device identifiers, and payment-provider identifiers.
Commercial information may include plan selected, subscription status, transaction IDs, invoice IDs, checkout IDs, cancellation status, refund status, chargeback status, download history, generated ZIP history, and account-access status.
Internet, device, and activity information may include pages viewed, feature interactions, timestamps, browser type, operating system, referring page, log events, diagnostics, security events, and approximate region inferred from network data.
User-generated and project information may include project names, custom pack names, set or kit references, part lists, color selections, quantities, scale choices, filament preferences, checklist progress, reports, posts, replies, profile fields, support messages, and uploaded attachments.
Inferences or derived information may include account status, download eligibility, checklist status, support status, possible abuse signals, catalog quality signals, issue-priority signals, or aggregated product-usage trends.
ScaleMySet may disclose these categories to service providers, payment providers, community infrastructure providers, hosting providers, analytics or logging providers, security providers, support personnel, admins, moderators, legal or safety recipients, business-transfer recipients, and other parties described in this statement.
27. Categories not intended for collection
ScaleMySet is not designed to collect social security numbers, driver's license numbers, passport numbers, precise geolocation, health records, biometric identifiers, genetic information, financial account credentials, union membership, religious beliefs, private sexual information, private information about children, or other highly sensitive personal information.
Do not place sensitive information in project names, print notes, custom packs, community posts, messages, reports, support tickets, screenshots, file names, profile fields, or uploaded attachments.
If sensitive information is submitted anyway, ScaleMySet may delete it, restrict it, redact it, retain it for legal or security reasons, or process it only as needed to respond to the reason it was submitted.
28. Service providers and subprocessors
ScaleMySet may use service providers, processors, vendors, contractors, and subprocessors to host the service, store data, authenticate users, deliver email, process payments, manage taxes, provide community features, log errors, diagnose performance, secure accounts, deliver files, and provide support.
Service providers may process personal information only as needed to provide their services, comply with their legal obligations, protect their systems, prevent fraud or abuse, or as otherwise permitted by their agreements and applicable law.
ScaleMySet chooses providers based on practical service needs and may add, remove, or replace providers as the service changes. When provider changes materially affect privacy practices, ScaleMySet will update this statement or provide notice where required.
ScaleMySet cannot control every independent privacy practice of every third-party service, especially where a provider acts as an independent controller, merchant of record, tax handler, community platform, analytics provider, payment provider, or legal compliance recipient.
29. Payment, tax, fraud, and chargeback records
Payment and tax records may be processed by ScaleMySet, Stripe, banks, card networks, fraud-prevention services, tax authorities, accountants, auditors, and other payment-related providers.
ScaleMySet may keep records of payment-provider events, checkout attempts, subscription changes, cancellations, refunds, chargebacks, tax status, invoice status, plan access, and support communications related to billing.
Billing records may be retained longer than ordinary account records because tax, accounting, fraud, chargeback, audit, legal, and dispute obligations often require longer retention.
If a transaction is disputed, refunded, reversed, flagged, or investigated, ScaleMySet may preserve relevant account, billing, download, access, support, and security records until the dispute, investigation, accounting period, or legal obligation is resolved.
30. Public areas, indexing, and screenshots
Community posts, public profiles, public build notes, images, replies, reactions, tags, and usernames may be visible to other users, moderators, admins, search engines, archival services, browser caches, notification systems, or people who receive screenshots or links.
ScaleMySet cannot guarantee that public or community content will disappear from copies made by other users, search engines, caches, browser tools, community integrations, emails, notifications, backups, archives, moderation records, or third-party systems.
If you include personal information, confidential information, trade secrets, customer information, third-party data, or sensitive project details in a public area, that information may become difficult or impossible to fully remove.
31. Attachments, images, and support materials
Support tickets, reports, screenshots, images, attachments, file names, logs, copied text, and diagnostic materials you submit may contain personal information or confidential information beyond what ScaleMySet asks for.
ScaleMySet may review, store, redact, share internally, forward to service providers, or use submitted support materials to diagnose issues, investigate abuse, improve catalog quality, respond to reports, provide support, preserve evidence, or comply with legal obligations.
Before submitting screenshots or attachments, remove payment details, passwords, private customer information, home addresses, government IDs, private messages, or other information that is not necessary for the support request.
32. Browser signals, Do Not Track, and opt-out signals
Some browsers send Do Not Track or similar signals. Because there is not a single industry-standard response for every signal and because ScaleMySet does not currently sell personal information or knowingly share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, ScaleMySet does not currently treat every such signal as a universal opt-out.
If ScaleMySet later uses advertising or data-sharing practices that require recognition of Global Privacy Control or similar legally recognized signals, ScaleMySet will update this statement and implement required signal handling.
Browser controls, cookie settings, content blockers, and privacy extensions may limit some tracking or storage, but blocking necessary cookies or storage may break sign-in, checkout, protected downloads, saved projects, account tools, community features, and support workflows.
33. Financial incentives and price differences
ScaleMySet does not currently offer a financial incentive program in exchange for selling, sharing, or retaining personal information.
ScaleMySet may offer subscriptions, discounts, coupons, trials, samples, promotional pricing, lifetime access, plan differences, or loyalty-style offers. Those offers are tied to service access, plan terms, promotions, or account status, not to the sale of personal information.
If ScaleMySet later offers a privacy-law-defined financial incentive or loyalty program tied to personal information, ScaleMySet will provide any notices, valuation information, opt-in controls, and withdrawal rights required by applicable law.
34. Account closure, deletion, and unavoidable retention
If you close your account or request deletion, ScaleMySet will delete, de-identify, or restrict personal information where required and reasonably feasible.
Deletion may not remove information that ScaleMySet must or is allowed to keep for billing, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, chargeback handling, security, rights enforcement, dispute resolution, backup rotation, legal compliance, moderation history, public-content integrity, or protection of other users.
Deleted projects, posts, files, reports, messages, or profile information may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, caches, generated records, community archives, quoted replies, notifications, moderation tools, or service-provider systems.
If deletion would prevent ScaleMySet from providing paid access, verifying subscription status, honoring a cancellation, processing a refund, investigating abuse, or complying with law, ScaleMySet may close or restrict the account instead of preserving full functionality.
35. Backups, archives, and legal holds
ScaleMySet may maintain backups, archives, database snapshots, generated-file records, logs, and disaster-recovery copies for operational integrity and security.
Backups are generally overwritten according to normal rotation, but information may remain in backups for a period after deletion from active systems.
ScaleMySet may place information on legal hold or preserve information longer when needed for security investigations, abuse investigations, rights complaints, billing disputes, tax obligations, regulatory inquiries, court orders, subpoenas, preservation requests, audits, or threatened claims.
Information under legal hold may not be deleted until the hold is lifted, even if you submit a deletion request.
36. U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to know or confirm whether personal information is processed, access personal information, correct inaccuracies, delete personal information, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale, opt out of sharing, opt out of targeted advertising, opt out of certain profiling, limit use of sensitive personal information, and appeal denied requests.
The exact rights, exceptions, verification rules, response times, and appeal processes depend on the state law that applies to you and on whether ScaleMySet is legally subject to that law.
ScaleMySet does not currently sell personal information for money and does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, ScaleMySet will update this statement and provide any required opt-out controls.
You may submit state privacy requests using the contact email below. ScaleMySet may ask for information needed to verify your identity, locate your account, understand the request, and protect against fraudulent or unauthorized requests.
37. EEA, UK, Swiss, and similar privacy rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another region with similar data-protection rules, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, transfer, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority.
ScaleMySet may process personal information based on contract necessity, legitimate interests, legal obligations, consent, protection of rights, fraud prevention, security, support, billing, and other bases described in this statement.
When information is transferred internationally, ScaleMySet will use appropriate safeguards where required, such as contractual protections, provider commitments, risk assessments, or other mechanisms recognized by applicable law.
You may contact ScaleMySet to exercise available rights. If you believe ScaleMySet has not resolved your concern, you may have the right to contact your local data-protection authority.
38. Authorized agents, verification, and appeals
If applicable law allows an authorized agent to submit a privacy request for you, ScaleMySet may require proof that the agent is authorized and may require you to verify your identity directly.
ScaleMySet may deny requests that cannot be verified, are fraudulent, would expose another person's information, conflict with legal obligations, compromise security, reveal trade secrets, interfere with rights enforcement, or fall under another legal exception.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a denied privacy request, you may appeal by replying to ScaleMySet's decision email with the subject line "Privacy Appeal" and explaining why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
ScaleMySet will not discriminate against you for exercising legally protected privacy rights, but some requests may make it impossible to provide certain features.
39. Third-party links, embeds, and off-service activity
ScaleMySet may link to or integrate with third-party websites, payment pages, community pages, file tools, slicers, marketplaces, social platforms, printer tools, filament vendors, documentation, or support resources.

ScaleMySet may provide categories of information rather than specific pieces where disclosure would create security risk, reveal another person's information, expose trade secrets, compromise fraud-prevention systems, or violate law.
Repeated, excessive, abusive, technically infeasible, or manifestly unfounded requests may be denied, limited, or subject to procedures allowed by applicable law.
