Use ScaleMySet to organize and print building-block-compatible projects. Your plan controls personal or commercial use of physical prints. Do not redistribute digital files, share account access, scrape the catalog, or use printed parts in unsafe ways without your own review.
Terms of Service
Rules for using ScaleMySet.
Last updated June 20, 2026. These terms cover accounts, paid access, STL downloads, commercial-use rights, generated packs, saved projects, community use, billing, and print safety.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ScaleMySet, including the website, account tools, STL library, pack generation tools, custom build tools, print checklists, filament tools, community features, messages, reports, downloads, support features, and related services.
By creating an account, subscribing, purchasing access, downloading a file, generating a pack, saving a project, posting in the community, submitting a report, or otherwise using ScaleMySet, you agree to these Terms.
If you use ScaleMySet for a company, organization, club, school, print farm, store, or other group, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and references to "you" include that organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use ScaleMySet.
2. What ScaleMySet provides
ScaleMySet helps users find, organize, scale, download, and track building-block-compatible STL files for 3D printing. The service may include set-based packs, custom packs, color and quantity organization, generated ZIP files, filament matching, filament libraries, print checklists, saved projects, issue reports, community areas, profile tools, messages, and support workflows.
ScaleMySet is a digital service. The service provides access to digital files, generated digital packs, project organization tools, and related account features. ScaleMySet does not provide printers, filament, slicer software, physical printed parts, toy products, engineering certification, safety testing, or manufacturing services unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
ScaleMySet may provide sample files, previews, estimates, screenshots, catalog records, model metadata, community posts, or examples. Those materials are provided to help users evaluate and use the service, but they may be incomplete, approximate, or updated over time.
3. Independent service
Success with 3D printing can vary based on a wide range of factors, including printer type, material choice, slicer settings, model complexity, scale, orientation, and individual setup. While results may differ from project to project, our commitment is to support you with thoughtful tools, clear guidance, and a dependable experience at every step so you can achieve the best possible outcome with your printed building block projects.
ScaleMySet uses descriptive compatibility language so users can understand what the service is designed to help them print. Compatibility language does not mean that ScaleMySet is sponsored, authorized, endorsed by, affiliated with, or approved by any third-party toy, brick, model, printer, filament, marketplace, design, rights, or brand owner.
You are responsible for making sure your use of downloaded files, printed objects, names, designs, references, photos, descriptions, listings, marketing, packaging, and project materials complies with applicable intellectual-property, product-safety, advertising, tax, marketplace, and consumer-protection rules.
4. Eligibility
You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live and to manage an online paid service. ScaleMySet is not directed to children under 13.
You may not use ScaleMySet if applicable law bars you from using the service, if you are located in a country or region where use would be unlawful, or if ScaleMySet has previously terminated your account for serious abuse and has not given you permission to return.
If you allow another person to use your device, account, downloaded files, generated packs, printed objects, or community profile, you remain responsible for activity under your account and for compliance with these Terms.
5. Accounts and credentials
You may need an account to use paid features, save projects, generate protected packs, access downloads, manage billing, post in the community, submit reports, or contact support through account tools.
You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date. You may not impersonate another person, create misleading profile information, register accounts using automated methods, or create accounts for abusive, deceptive, or unlawful purposes.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, email account, devices, and sessions secure. Notify ScaleMySet promptly if you believe your account, email, password, saved projects, downloads, or payment-related access has been compromised.
You may not sell, lease, share, sublicense, transfer, or provide account access to another person or organization. Team, company, school, print-farm, or multi-user use requires a plan or written permission that allows that use.
6. Paid plans and plan features
ScaleMySet is primarily a paid service. Access to protected downloads, set packs, custom packs, saved project tools, print checklists, commercial-use rights, figure files, full library access, and other features depends on the plan, trial, promotion, or access path shown at signup, checkout, pricing, or account screens.
Plan descriptions may distinguish between Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime, promotional, sample, admin, trial, or other access levels. Your actual rights are determined by the plan you purchased, the checkout terms, these Terms, and any written plan-specific terms shown at the time of purchase.
A feature appearing in the app, in a preview, in a support message, or in marketing copy does not guarantee that every account, plan, file, model, region, printer, or project will receive that feature at all times.
ScaleMySet may change plan names, features, file availability, usage limits, support targets, prices, or promotional offers going forward. Changes to future plans do not automatically change the rights or access term you already purchased unless the purchase terms, applicable law, or these Terms allow the change.
7. Billing, renewal, and payment providers
Payments, invoices, taxes, checkout pages, card handling, payment method updates, subscription status, renewals, cancellations, chargebacks, refunds, and billing communications may be handled by Stripe or another payment provider.
When Stripe is used, Stripe may act as payment processor, tax handler, fraud-prevention provider, and billing infrastructure provider for the transaction. Stripe may apply its own checkout terms, payment terms, tax treatment, refund process, sanctions screening, fraud controls, and customer communications.
ScaleMySet receives payment-provider information needed to connect your purchase or subscription to your account, such as customer identifiers, checkout identifiers, transaction identifiers, subscription status, renewal status, invoice status, cancellation status, refund status, and payment-provider event data. ScaleMySet does not need your full card number to operate the service.
You authorize ScaleMySet and its payment providers to charge the payment method you provide for purchases, subscriptions, renewals, applicable taxes, and any other amounts disclosed at checkout or in your account billing tools.
You are responsible for making sure your billing information is accurate, your payment method is valid, and your account email can receive billing notices. If payment fails, ScaleMySet may suspend or reduce paid access until the issue is resolved.
8. Subscriptions and cancellation
Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically until canceled unless the checkout flow or plan terms say otherwise. Renewal periods, prices, taxes, and billing dates should be shown at checkout, in your billing tools, or by the payment provider.
You may cancel a subscription through available account billing tools, through the payment provider, or by contacting ScaleMySet support. Cancellation stops future renewal charges. It does not refund or prorate the current paid period unless a refund is required by law, shown at checkout, offered by the payment provider, or approved by ScaleMySet in writing.
If you cancel, you may keep paid access until the end of the then-current paid period unless the plan terms, payment-provider rules, or applicable law require a different result.
Deleting the app from a device, stopping use of the service, deleting downloaded files, abandoning a project, or changing your email does not cancel a subscription. Use the billing cancellation method provided for your account or contact support.
If a payment provider, card issuer, bank, or marketplace reverses a charge, blocks a payment, or flags a transaction, ScaleMySet may suspend or remove related paid access while the issue is reviewed.
9. Lifetime, promotional, trial, and sample access
Lifetime access, when offered, means access for the life of the ScaleMySet service under the purchased plan terms. It does not mean access for your lifetime, the lifetime of any company, or the lifetime of any third-party platform, file source, payment provider, hosting provider, catalog source, printer, slicer, or brand.
Lifetime access may end if ScaleMySet shuts down, materially changes its business, is acquired, loses access to necessary infrastructure, is required by law to discontinue access, or terminates your account under these Terms.
Promotional, trial, beta, sample, coupon, gift, admin, or discounted access may have additional limits, shorter access periods, missing features, special cancellation rules, or different refund treatment. Those specific terms apply in addition to these Terms.
Sample files and sample packs may be used only as expressly permitted in the sample flow. Unless ScaleMySet states otherwise, samples do not grant full library access, commercial-use rights, redistribution rights, or rights to bypass paid access.
10. Refunds, chargebacks, and billing disputes
Fees are generally charged in advance. ScaleMySet does not provide refunds after access is granted and does not provide prorated refunds for unused time, except where required by law or expressly approved by ScaleMySet in writing.
The Refund Policy explains the no-refund rule, cancellation effect, no-proration rule, access issues, duplicate charges, chargebacks, payment-provider handling, and mandatory legal exceptions.
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact ScaleMySet or the payment provider promptly with enough detail to locate the transaction. Include the account email, transaction or invoice identifier if available, purchase date, and a clear explanation of the issue. Do not email full card numbers or account passwords.
ScaleMySet may deny refunds where allowed by law, including for accounts that have downloaded protected files, generated substantial packs, violated these Terms, abused the service, or requested repeated refunds inconsistent with fair use of a digital subscription.
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, ScaleMySet may suspend the related account, preserve account and download records, provide transaction records to the payment provider, and restrict future purchases if the dispute suggests fraud, abuse, or unresolved billing risk.
11. Digital-file license
Subject to these Terms and your plan, ScaleMySet grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use files made available through your account for 3D printing, project planning, slicer preparation, print checklists, and related personal workspace use.
This license covers the digital files you are authorized to access through ScaleMySet while your plan or access path is active. It does not transfer ownership of ScaleMySet, the STL library, catalog data, generated ZIP structure, file organization, previews, metadata, code, app design, or other ScaleMySet materials.
You may make reasonable working copies of authorized files for your own slicer, printer, backup, and project organization use. You may not use those copies to create a public archive, marketplace listing for the files, competing library, sharing group, file mirror, torrent, scraper output, or other redistribution channel.
If your account ends, your right to access the service ends. Your rights to keep using files already downloaded depend on the plan and license terms in effect when you downloaded them, your continued compliance with these Terms, and any restrictions shown at checkout or in the service.
12. Personal and commercial-use rights
Monthly access is for personal, non-commercial print projects unless ScaleMySet expressly states otherwise in the plan terms or checkout flow.
Yearly, Lifetime, or other plans may include commercial-use rights for STL files available through ScaleMySet, as described on the pricing page, checkout page, account area, or plan-specific terms.
Commercial-use rights, when included with your plan, allow you to sell or otherwise monetize physical printed objects you create from authorized ScaleMySet STL files. They do not allow you to sell, publish, share, sublicense, upload, bundle, mirror, distribute, or provide the digital STL files, ZIP packs, previews, metadata, generated pack structure, catalog data, account access, or download links.
Commercial-use rights do not guarantee that your physical printed objects are legally clear for every marketplace, country, product category, age rating, safety standard, advertising claim, third-party design right, trademark use, trade dress use, patent claim, or consumer-protection requirement. You are responsible for your own listings, labels, claims, packaging, product warnings, safety testing, and legal review.
If a plan loses commercial-use rights, expires, is canceled, is refunded, is charged back, is terminated for breach, or was purchased through fraud, your commercial-use rights may end or be limited. ScaleMySet may require you to stop commercial activity tied to unauthorized files or access.
13. Digital-file restrictions
You may not redistribute ScaleMySet digital files. This includes uploading, selling, licensing, sharing, trading, posting, emailing, bundling, mirroring, reselling, leaking, scraping, or making available STL files, generated ZIPs, previews, metadata, catalog data, checklists, download links, or account-only content.
You may not remove or obscure notices, misrepresent the source of files, imply endorsement by ScaleMySet or a third party, create a confusingly similar file library, use ScaleMySet content to train or populate a competing catalog, or use automated tools to bulk extract, index, copy, or monitor the service except through features ScaleMySet intentionally provides.
You may not use ScaleMySet files for weapons, unlawful items, counterfeit goods, deceptive marketplace listings, unsafe child-directed products, medical devices, food-contact items, electrical devices, load-bearing parts, vehicle parts, aerospace parts, or other safety-critical uses unless you independently verify the material, design, manufacturing process, and legal requirements.
You may not use ScaleMySet to bypass access controls, defeat billing gates, share paid-access URLs, evade download limits, resell subscriptions, operate a download service, or provide outsourced file access to people who do not have their own permitted access.
14. Saved projects, generated packs, and workspace data
ScaleMySet may let you save projects, reopen packs, track checklist progress, choose scale settings, store filament preferences, generate ZIP files, and organize prints by part, color, quantity, and project state.
Saved projects and generated packs are convenience tools, not guaranteed permanent storage. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important project notes, part lists, print plans, slicer profiles, and downloaded files.
ScaleMySet may delete, archive, migrate, compress, rename, repair, or regenerate project records when needed for service operation, database maintenance, bug fixes, abuse prevention, account closure, storage limits, support, or legal compliance.
ScaleMySet may use project and pack activity to enforce paid access, provide support, debug failed downloads, improve catalog quality, estimate filament usage, prioritize reports, and maintain service reliability, as described in the Privacy Statement.
Scale estimates, filament estimates, print estimates, color matches, part inventories, bounding boxes, and previews are approximate. You should inspect generated files and slicer output before starting a print job.
15. User content and feedback
You may submit project names, custom part lists, color choices, quantities, scale settings, filament preferences, checklist progress, issue reports, support messages, profile information, posts, replies, images, build notes, ratings, reactions, and other content through the service.
You keep ownership of content you submit, subject to any rights held by others. You grant ScaleMySet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, modify, adapt, transmit, analyze, moderate, remove, and otherwise use your submitted content as needed to operate, secure, support, improve, promote, and provide the service.
If you submit feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, feature requests, or workflow proposals, ScaleMySet may use them without restriction or compensation. Do not submit ideas you consider confidential unless a separate written agreement applies.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that your content does not violate law, infringe rights, expose confidential information, contain malware, mislead users, harass others, or violate these Terms.
16. Community, profiles, reports, and moderation
Community features, profile pages, public build notes, posts, replies, likes, bookmarks, reports, messages, tags, and other social features may be powered by ScaleMySet, Discourse, or another community system.
Community areas are not private storage. Information you post publicly or semi-publicly may be visible to other users, moderators, admins, search engines, or the public depending on configuration.
You may not harass others, impersonate people, post hateful or threatening material, spam, manipulate votes or reactions, share private information, encourage unsafe printing, post infringing material, solicit account sharing, advertise deceptive goods, or use community features to evade support or billing processes.
ScaleMySet may moderate, hide, edit, remove, preserve, lock, report, or restrict content or accounts when needed to protect users, respond to reports, enforce these Terms, comply with law, preserve evidence, prevent spam, or maintain community quality.
ScaleMySet is not required to monitor all community content and is not responsible for every user statement. User content reflects the user who posted it, not ScaleMySet.
17. Privacy
ScaleMySet handles personal information as described in the Privacy Statement. The Privacy Statement explains how ScaleMySet collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects account, billing, project, download, filament, community, support, security, and device information.
By using ScaleMySet, you acknowledge that ScaleMySet may process information needed to create accounts, authenticate users, authorize downloads, process billing, save projects, run checklists, provide community features, investigate abuse, provide support, and improve the service.
Do not put sensitive personal information, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, passwords, children's information, confidential business information, or private third-party information into project names, posts, reports, messages, filament notes, support tickets, or uploaded attachments.
18. Third-party services and integrations
ScaleMySet may rely on third-party services for hosting, storage, authentication, databases, payment processing, tax handling, email, support, logging, analytics, security, community features, and file delivery.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy notices, uptime limits, fees, country restrictions, export restrictions, cancellation rules, refund processes, security practices, and support procedures. ScaleMySet is not responsible for third-party services it does not control.
If a third-party service changes, fails, restricts access, increases fees, removes functionality, or terminates support, ScaleMySet may need to change, suspend, migrate, or discontinue affected features.
19. Catalog accuracy and file availability
ScaleMySet works to provide useful STL files, metadata, part titles, color organization, previews, scale controls, and generated packs, but catalog information may contain errors, omissions, mismatches, duplicates, outdated entries, missing files, or files that need repair.
ScaleMySet may add, remove, replace, rename, repair, reorganize, re-scale, or update files, folders, metadata, colors, previews, and catalog records at any time. A file available at one time may not always remain available.
Support targets, issue response targets, missing-part reports, and catalog-improvement workflows are goals unless expressly stated as binding service-level agreements in a separate written contract. They do not guarantee that every issue will be fixed within a specific time.
You should inspect model geometry, slicer output, scale, supports, tolerances, wall thickness, part orientation, and print settings before printing. ScaleMySet is not responsible for failed prints caused by printer settings, slicer behavior, filament quality, calibration, user changes, or unsuitable use.
20. 3D printing risk and product safety
3D printing results depend on your printer, slicer, filament, calibration, nozzle, bed adhesion, enclosure, material properties, scale, supports, orientation, post-processing, and intended use. ScaleMySet does not guarantee that a file will print successfully on every printer or be suitable for every purpose.
Printed objects may break, melt, deform, splinter, contain sharp edges, create choking hazards, shed particles, absorb contaminants, behave unpredictably under load, or fail when scaled, modified, glued, painted, sanded, heated, or used with other objects.
Keep printed parts away from children, pets, food-contact uses, medical uses, electrical applications, heat, vehicles, mechanical loads, structural loads, and safety-critical uses unless you independently verify the material, geometry, manufacturing process, labeling, warnings, and intended use.
You are responsible for printer safety, ventilation, filament handling, resin handling, tool use, post-processing, disposal, protective equipment, and compliance with instructions from your printer, filament, resin, slicer, and tool manufacturers.
21. Acceptable use
You may not use ScaleMySet to violate law, infringe rights, attack or disrupt the service, probe security without permission, reverse engineer access controls, bypass billing or download limits, scrape catalog data, harvest user information, upload malware, harass users, impersonate others, submit false reports, manipulate community activity, or interfere with support and moderation systems.
You may not use bots, scripts, crawlers, scrapers, browser automation, API abuse, credential sharing, shared sessions, or other automated methods to access, copy, monitor, or download ScaleMySet content except through interfaces ScaleMySet intentionally provides for that purpose.
You may not attempt to overload infrastructure, defeat rate limits, evade suspensions, create multiple accounts to obtain repeated trials or samples, launder access through other users, or use ScaleMySet in a way that harms service reliability, security, payment processing, catalog integrity, or user trust.
22. Enforcement
ScaleMySet may investigate suspected violations of these Terms, payment abuse, suspicious downloads, security events, rights complaints, community reports, scraping, file redistribution, and other activity that may harm the service or users.
ScaleMySet may warn, throttle, limit, suspend, terminate, remove content, disable downloads, revoke file access, remove community privileges, deny refunds, block accounts, preserve records, report unlawful activity, or take other reasonable action when needed to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, or secure the service.
ScaleMySet may act immediately without prior notice when it reasonably believes delay could create legal risk, security risk, payment risk, user-safety risk, evidence loss, rights infringement, or harm to the service.
Failure to enforce a provision in one situation does not waive ScaleMySet's right to enforce it later.
23. Copyright and rights complaints
If you believe content on ScaleMySet infringes your copyright, trademark, design right, publicity right, or other rights, contact ScaleMySet at the email below with enough information to identify the content and your claimed rights.
A rights complaint should include your contact information, identification of the work or right claimed, the specific ScaleMySet content or URL at issue, a statement explaining the claimed infringement, a statement that the information is accurate, and confirmation that you are the rights owner or authorized to act for the rights owner.
ScaleMySet may remove or restrict content, disable downloads, preserve records, contact the user who submitted content, request additional information, restore content, or terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
If ScaleMySet designates a formal copyright agent or adopts a specific notice-and-counter-notice process, notices should be sent through that process. Until then, rights complaints can be sent to the contact email below.
24. Security
You may not test, scan, probe, exploit, or bypass ScaleMySet systems, authentication, authorization, billing, download controls, rate limits, database access, admin tools, or third-party integrations without prior written permission.
If you discover a security issue, report it responsibly to ScaleMySet and do not disclose it publicly, exploit it, access other users' data, download files you are not authorized to access, disrupt the service, or demand payment outside a written bug bounty or security program.
ScaleMySet may suspend access, rotate credentials, revoke sessions, block IP addresses, preserve logs, notify providers, or take other protective steps in response to security concerns.
25. Service changes and availability
ScaleMySet may add, remove, change, suspend, restrict, migrate, rename, reprice, or discontinue features, catalogs, files, plans, support targets, community areas, integrations, app screens, storage formats, APIs, or download workflows.
ScaleMySet will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but the service may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages, third-party failures, security events, payment-provider issues, hosting issues, catalog migrations, legal obligations, or other events.
ScaleMySet is not required to provide a local backup, source file, historical version, prior catalog record, permanently available file, or offline copy unless your plan or a separate written agreement expressly says so.
26. Beta features, experiments, and estimates
ScaleMySet may offer beta, experimental, preview, admin, early-access, or unfinished features. Those features may be incomplete, unstable, unavailable, inaccurate, or changed without notice.
Scale, filament, time, size, volume, printability, color, compatibility, bounding-box, checklist, project, and support estimates are informational only. They are not professional engineering, manufacturing, safety, legal, tax, or product-compliance advice.
You are responsible for validating files, dimensions, tolerances, materials, legal rights, product claims, and marketplace requirements before printing, selling, gifting, installing, or using physical objects.
27. Export, sanctions, and lawful use
You may not use ScaleMySet in violation of export-control, sanctions, anti-corruption, anti-money-laundering, tax, consumer-protection, intellectual-property, product-safety, or other applicable laws.
You may not use ScaleMySet if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, organized under the laws of, or acting for a person or entity in a country, region, or list where providing the service would be prohibited by applicable sanctions or export-control rules.
ScaleMySet and its payment providers may block, suspend, or cancel transactions or accounts to comply with legal, sanctions, fraud-prevention, tax, or risk requirements.
28. Disclaimers
ScaleMySet is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, ScaleMySet disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, accuracy, availability, security, compatibility, and error-free operation.
ScaleMySet does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, available in every region, compatible with every browser or device, free of harmful components, or that all files, previews, colors, metadata, estimates, downloads, community content, support messages, or catalog records will be accurate or complete.
No support message, community reply, documentation, estimate, preview, color match, printed example, issue response, pricing page, marketing copy, or oral statement creates a warranty unless it is included in a written agreement signed by ScaleMySet.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some disclaimers may not apply to you.
29. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, ScaleMySet and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, enhanced, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost prints, failed prints, lost business opportunities, equipment damage, replacement costs, business interruption, reputational harm, or loss of goodwill.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, ScaleMySet's total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to ScaleMySet for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or 100 U.S. dollars.
The limits in this section apply to all legal theories, including contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, warranty, statute, and equity, even if ScaleMySet has been advised of the possibility of damages and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limits, so some limits may not apply to you.
30. Indemnification
To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ScaleMySet and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of ScaleMySet, your printed objects, your commercial activity, your user content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your infringement or alleged infringement of third-party rights, your misuse of account access, or your unsafe or unlawful use of files or printed objects.
ScaleMySet may control the defense of any matter subject to indemnification at your expense, and you agree to cooperate with that defense. You may not settle a claim in a way that imposes obligations on ScaleMySet without ScaleMySet's prior written consent.
31. Termination
You may stop using ScaleMySet at any time. You may also cancel a paid subscription as described in these Terms and in the billing tools available to you.
ScaleMySet may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay required fees, create legal or security risk, redistribute files, abuse downloads, misuse community features, submit infringing or unlawful content, interfere with the service, or use ScaleMySet in a way ScaleMySet reasonably believes is abusive, deceptive, unsafe, or unlawful.
After termination, your right to access the service ends. ScaleMySet may delete or preserve account data, project data, community records, billing records, logs, reports, and support records as described in the Privacy Statement and as needed for legal, security, billing, dispute, rights-enforcement, and operational purposes.
Sections about file restrictions, commercial-use limits, ownership, user content licenses, privacy, payment obligations, acceptable use, enforcement, rights complaints, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, dispute terms, and other provisions that by their nature should survive will continue after termination.
32. Changes to these Terms
ScaleMySet may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new effective date.
If a change materially affects paid access, subscription terms, file-use rights, commercial-use rights, or community obligations, ScaleMySet will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the website, account area, checkout flow, email, or another appropriate channel.
Your continued use of ScaleMySet after an update means you accept the updated Terms for your use going forward. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using ScaleMySet and cancel any subscription you no longer want.
Changes will not retroactively authorize conduct that violated earlier Terms, and they will not retroactively remove rights that applicable law prevents ScaleMySet from removing.
33. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where ScaleMySet's principal place of business is located, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable consumer law requires a different governing law.
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact ScaleMySet at the email below and try to resolve the issue informally. Include your account email, a clear description of the issue, the relief you are requesting, and any relevant transaction or support identifiers.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.
34. General terms
These Terms, together with the Privacy Statement and any plan-specific or checkout terms, are the entire agreement between you and ScaleMySet for your use of the service.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect, and the invalid or unenforceable part will be interpreted to achieve its purpose as closely as legally permitted.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without ScaleMySet's prior written consent. ScaleMySet may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, change of control, or operation of the service through a successor.
Headings are for convenience only and do not limit the meaning of the Terms. No waiver is effective unless written and signed by ScaleMySet. Electronic communications and records may be used to administer the service and these Terms.
35. No professional advice
ScaleMySet does not provide legal, tax, engineering, product-safety, manufacturing, certification, child-safety, accessibility, insurance, medical, regulatory, marketplace-compliance, or business advice.
Any file, checklist, preview, part label, color match, filament estimate, scale estimate, commercial-use description, support response, community reply, or documentation is informational only. You are responsible for getting professional advice when your project, sale, customer, marketplace, jurisdiction, product category, or intended use requires it.
You should not rely on ScaleMySet to determine whether a printed object is lawful, safe, non-infringing, marketable, compliant, age-appropriate, suitable for children, suitable for resale, suitable for a specific load, or acceptable on a third-party marketplace.
36. Taxes, resale, and business compliance
If you sell, give away, advertise, bundle, resell, ship, or otherwise distribute physical printed objects, you are solely responsible for all taxes, permits, licenses, product labels, safety warnings, import or export paperwork, marketplace filings, business registrations, accounting records, customer service, warranty obligations, refunds, chargebacks, recalls, and consumer-protection obligations.
Commercial-use rights from ScaleMySet, if included in your plan, cover only the limited permission from ScaleMySet to use authorized files for physical printed objects. They do not make you an agent, reseller, employee, partner, franchisee, distributor, or authorized representative of ScaleMySet or any third-party rights holder.
You may not state or imply that ScaleMySet approved, inspected, certified, sponsored, manufactured, guaranteed, or is responsible for your physical printed objects, store, listings, labels, photos, packaging, instructions, advertisements, customer communications, or business practices.
37. Marketplace, listing, and advertising rules
Third-party marketplaces, payment providers, shipping providers, social platforms, ad networks, print-on-demand platforms, and storefront tools may have rules that are stricter or different from these Terms. You are responsible for complying with those rules.
You are responsible for the words, tags, categories, photos, descriptions, compatibility claims, safety claims, age ratings, brand references, and keywords you use when advertising or selling physical printed objects.
You may not use ScaleMySet files, screenshots, logos, trade names, marketing images, generated packs, or compatibility wording to create confusing, deceptive, infringing, unsafe, counterfeit, or misleading listings.
ScaleMySet may restrict or terminate accounts that use the service to support deceptive marketplace conduct, rights infringement, unsafe listings, unauthorized brand use, fake reviews, undisclosed endorsements, or other conduct that may harm users, ScaleMySet, or third parties.
38. Product claims, warnings, and recalls
If you distribute physical printed objects, you are responsible for all product claims, instructions, warnings, age recommendations, choking-hazard warnings, material disclosures, care instructions, return policies, warranties, and recall obligations.
ScaleMySet does not test your printer, filament, resin, slicer settings, finishing process, paint, glue, magnets, electronics, packaging, assembly method, or final object. ScaleMySet does not certify that a printed object is safe for children, pets, food contact, load-bearing use, heat exposure, electrical use, outdoor use, commercial resale, or any specific use.
If you learn that a physical printed object made from a ScaleMySet file is unsafe, defective, infringing, mislabeled, or subject to a customer complaint, injury report, marketplace takedown, regulatory inquiry, or recall, you are responsible for responding and for stopping distribution where appropriate.
39. Modifications, remixes, and derivatives
You may modify authorized files for your own permitted printing workflow, such as scaling, orienting, slicing, repairing, hollowing, adding supports, splitting large parts, adjusting tolerances, or adapting a part for your printer.
Modifying a file does not remove ScaleMySet's rights or restrictions in the original file, metadata, generated pack, or catalog data. A modified, remixed, repaired, converted, or derivative digital file may not be redistributed unless ScaleMySet expressly permits redistribution in writing.
You are solely responsible for any modified file, combined design, remix, conversion, repair, or derivative object you create, including printability, safety, legality, third-party rights, marketplace compliance, and customer-facing claims.
ScaleMySet may refuse support for files that have been modified, converted, repaired, processed through third-party tools, altered by slicers, generated from outdated downloads, or combined with other designs.
40. Prohibited commercial conduct
You may not operate a business that primarily gives others access to ScaleMySet digital files, generated ZIPs, catalog records, previews, metadata, download links, saved project data, account sessions, or protected content.
You may not use ScaleMySet to run a digital-file marketplace, paid file club, subscription library, shared drive, print-farm customer portal, bulk file fulfillment service, automated quoting service, catalog mirror, model-indexing service, or competing STL service without a separate written agreement.
You may not split, pool, rent, resell, or syndicate one account across multiple customers, workers, shops, schools, organizations, or print-farm clients unless your plan or written permission expressly allows it.
ScaleMySet may use technical and account controls to detect suspicious commercial redistribution, including unusual download volume, repeated session sharing, automated access, payment disputes, shared credentials, suspicious IP patterns, or reports from rights holders or users.
41. Support, reports, and response targets
ScaleMySet may provide support channels, component reports, missing-file reports, community assistance, messages, email support, and response targets. Support availability may depend on your plan, account status, staffing, holidays, time zone, issue complexity, abuse risk, and third-party providers.
A response target is a goal, not a guarantee, unless a separate written service-level agreement says otherwise. A response may acknowledge, triage, request more information, close, defer, reject, or partially resolve an issue.
ScaleMySet may decline support for unsupported printers, unsupported slicers, modified files, third-party files, unsafe uses, commercial customer disputes, tax issues, legal questions, marketplace takedowns, account sharing, excessive requests, abusive messages, or issues outside ScaleMySet's control.
Support communications may be used to diagnose issues, improve documentation, train support workflows, identify abuse, preserve evidence, and maintain service quality, consistent with the Privacy Statement.
42. Data loss, backups, and disaster recovery
ScaleMySet may keep backups, logs, generated files, project records, and database snapshots for operational reasons, but ScaleMySet is not your backup service and does not guarantee that any project, pack, checklist, message, profile, report, downloaded file, or community post can be restored.
You are responsible for keeping your own copies of files, slicer settings, project notes, customer records, business records, support conversations, invoices, and other information you need.
ScaleMySet is not liable for loss, corruption, deletion, migration failure, archive failure, account closure, access loss, storage limits, stale generated files, or inability to restore data, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
43. Notices and electronic communications
ScaleMySet may send notices by email, in-app message, account banner, checkout notice, support response, community message, website posting, billing-provider communication, or other reasonable electronic method.
You consent to receive electronic communications related to your account, billing, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, security, support, policy changes, service changes, and legal notices.
A notice is considered received when sent or posted, unless applicable law requires a different rule. You are responsible for keeping your account email current and for checking spam filters, billing-provider messages, and account notices.
44. Force majeure
ScaleMySet will not be responsible for delay, failure, suspension, data loss, outage, degraded performance, or inability to perform caused by events outside its reasonable control.
Events outside ScaleMySet's reasonable control may include internet failures, hosting failures, payment-provider outages, database failures, cyberattacks, security incidents, natural disasters, power failures, labor disputes, war, terrorism, civil unrest, pandemics, supply-chain issues, government action, legal restrictions, sanctions, rights disputes, third-party API changes, or provider shutdowns.
ScaleMySet may take reasonable steps during such events, including suspending features, limiting downloads, delaying support, changing providers, restoring from backups, disabling integrations, or modifying access to protect users and the service.
45. Equitable relief
You acknowledge that unauthorized redistribution of digital files, scraping, account sharing, security abuse, confidentiality violations, or misuse of ScaleMySet content may cause harm that is difficult to measure in money damages.
ScaleMySet may seek injunctive, equitable, or emergency relief to prevent or stop such conduct, in addition to any other remedies available under these Terms or applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits ScaleMySet's ability to cooperate with payment providers, hosting providers, marketplaces, law enforcement, rights holders, or security providers when ScaleMySet reasonably believes action is necessary to protect rights, users, or the service.
46. Time limit on claims
To the extent allowed by law, any claim or dispute arising from or relating to ScaleMySet or these Terms must be brought within one year after the claim arose. Claims brought after that period are permanently barred.
This time limit does not apply where applicable law prohibits shortening the limitation period, and it does not limit ScaleMySet's ability to enforce file restrictions, account restrictions, intellectual-property rights, security obligations, payment obligations, or confidentiality obligations.
47. Individual claims, class actions, and jury trial
To the extent allowed by law, disputes must be brought only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff, class member, representative, private attorney general, or consolidated participant in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action.
To the extent allowed by law, you and ScaleMySet waive the right to a jury trial for disputes arising from or relating to ScaleMySet or these Terms.
If a court finds this section unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will proceed only to the extent required by law, and the rest of these Terms will continue to apply.
48. Testimonials, reviews, and public references
If you submit a review, testimonial, public post, build photo, comment, rating, or feedback, ScaleMySet may use it to operate, improve, moderate, or promote the service unless you clearly tell ScaleMySet not to use it for promotion.
You may not submit fake reviews, undisclosed paid endorsements, misleading testimonials, manipulated ratings, or claims about ScaleMySet, third-party brands, files, prints, earnings, safety, compatibility, or commercial results that you cannot support.
ScaleMySet may remove, decline to display, or stop using reviews, posts, or testimonials that appear misleading, abusive, infringing, unsafe, outdated, or inconsistent with these Terms.
49. Order of precedence and consumer rights
If these Terms conflict with plan-specific terms or checkout terms, the more specific terms control for that plan or transaction, unless those terms say otherwise.
If these Terms conflict with mandatory consumer-protection, privacy, subscription, cancellation, refund, product-safety, or other laws that cannot be waived, the mandatory law controls only to the extent of the conflict.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, refunds, cancellation rights, privacy rights, or other rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
